2020 Ambassadors are yet to be appointed. In the meantime, check out Kellie Emmerson, our 2018 Ambassador:
We are very excited to appoint Kellie Emmerson as Elite Ambassador for the Margaret River Ultra Marathon.
Kellie is a running phenomenon who has won our sister ultra marathon the 100km Surf Coast Century 3 years in a row – 2014, 2015 and 2016 – breaking her own course record each time! She has been on the Australian team for the last 2 Trail Running World Championships, stood on the podium of many major races and is a popular runner on the local ultra scene.
But more impressive than her successes is her attitude… Kellie is one of the happiest and most unassuming runners you’ll ever meet who’s more than happy to pass on her experience and encourage others to join her on the trails.
Kellie is coming to race at the Margaret River Ultra Marathon and will be preparing a range of blogs, tips and social media conversations over coming months to help get you to the start and the finish line.
“I am a trail runner. I run crazy distances through the most amazing places. It is a lifestyle, not just a sport. It keeps me driven, focused, happy, healthy, calm, strong, and fit. I LOVE it. It complements the rest of my life in which I strive to promote health and wellbeing as an Occupational Therapist, Body Pump Instructor, and Recreational Run Coach. Conquering what most would perceive as impossible gives me the confidence to attempt ANYTHING.
This is a fast growing sport, an amazing community of people, and the best way to see some of Australia and the world’s most beautiful places.”
