Margaret River Ultra Marathon

A magnificent ultra trail…

The Margaret River Ultra Marathon 80km and 42km events will be back in 2025 on 10-11 May with entries set to open on Monday 14 October 2024. Entry details will be communciated on the website and through social media.

The event provides an incredible journey through the forests, trails, beaches and bluffs on the beautiful Cape to Cape coastline in South West WA. You will run past famous surf breaks, iconic wineries and charismatic coastal villages in a journey that is as magical as the Margaret River region is beautiful.

The 80KM Ultra Marathon course starts on the white sands at Hamelin Bay in the south and runs up the coast to finish at the iconic Howard Park winery at Wilyabrup. The 42KM Trail Marathon is also back again, starting at Yallingup in the north and running south to the same epic finish line on Sunday.

The electric race atmosphere and camaraderie on the course is multiplied twice over at the Howard Park finish line as runners celebrate their accomplishments to the tunes of live music, food, wine, beer and gratitude. So whether you’re a trail running rookie or a long distance devotee we invite you to make the Margaret River Ultra Marathon your next running goal.
