Congratulations to all competitors in the 2024 Margaret River Ultra Marathon 80km and new 42km race too! As described by many, it was a tough but oh so amazing course with the finish-line feels as EPIC as ever! Happy recovery and thank you again for being part of such a wonderful event weekend.

A magnificent ultra trail…

The Margaret River Ultra Marathon 2024 provides an incredible journey through the forests, trails, beaches and bluffs on the beautiful Cape to Cape coastline in South West WA.

You will run past famous surf breaks, iconic wineries and charismatic coastal villages in a journey that is as magical as the Margaret River region is beautiful.

The 80KM ultra course starts on the white sands at Hamelin Bay in the south and runs up the coast to finish at the iconic Howard Park winery at Wilyabrup. NEW for 2024 is the inclusion of a 42KM Trail Marathon starting at Yallingup in the north and running south to the same epic finish line on Sunday.

The electric race atmosphere and camaraderie on the course is multiplied twice over at the Howard Park finish line as runners celebrate their accomplishments to the tunes of live music, food, wine, beer and gratitude. So whether you’re a trail running rookie or a long distance devotee we invite you to make the Margaret River Ultra Marathon your next running goal.
